Introduction
The game, King’s Dreams, was inspired by the life and legacy of King Ludwig II of Bavaria. I was deeply involved in bringing the game’s unique visual style to life, drawing from the grandeur of Bavaria’s castles and the mysticism surrounding the king’s story. It was an exciting challenge to blend history, fantasy, and game design in a way that would captivate players and bring King Ludwig’s dreams to life on mobile.

From the start, I knew we needed a visual style that captured the historical theme of kings and castles, but still felt simple and accessible for a casual mobile game. The key was balancing decorative elements with usability. For example, the font we chose is playful and decorative but large and clear enough to be legible on smaller screens. The buttons feature a golden outline with light ornamental details—just enough to give them a royal touch without losing readability. Icons and other UI elements were designed with simplicity in mind, but with subtle decorative accents that tie back to the historical theme. This approach helped create a game that feels both thematic and easy to navigate, keeping the experience fun and user-friendly.
